Booking Conditions

1. The cost of your holiday includes:
  • 7 nights accommodation
  • 6 days cooked and 7 days continental breakfast, 7 days afternoon tea and 6 days four-course evening meals, as described on the website
  • Unlimited wine served throughout dinner
  • Wi-Fi throughout the chalet
2. The price of the holiday does not include:
  • Flights or travel to France
  • Transfers from the airport*
  • Holiday and medical insurance (please see condition 12.)
  • Lift passes *
  • Ski hire *
  • Tuition *
  • Lunches *
  • Dinner on staff day off
* Additional services can be booked, prices available on request. 3. The person who signs the booking form is liable for the booking, even if other names appear on the form. 4. A non-refundable deposit of £150 per head is required on booking to secure your booking. This must be paid in GBP Sterling. The booking is not deemed to exist until the funds, or credit card payment has reached our bank account, when cleared your booking becomes secure. 5. Confirmation of your booking and of receipt of deposit will be provided via email unless otherwise requested. 6. Full payment is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival in Courchevel (or at the time of booking for all bookings made less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival). This must be paid in GBP Sterling by bank transfer or cheque (payable to Ski Bluebird Ltd, Oakwood House, Cornsland, Brentwood, Essex CM14 4JN) immediately on receipt of notice of payment being due. Payment by credit card will incur a 3.4% surcharge to cover the credit card payment charges. 7. If full payment is not received within 10 days of notice of payment being due, the booking will be cancelled and your deposit retained by Ski Bluebird. 8. Children discounts:
  • Chalet Barragiste sleeps twelve, however we have two extra full sized single beds, on a mezzanine level above the kitchen/main dining room. This can be booked if your group has fully booked the chalet. The Mezzanine has a reduced height ceiling and is accessed by ladder. As such we feel this space is best suited to children. Mezzanine bed spaces are charged at 50% of weekly chalet bed price.
  • Children aged 2-4 inclusive will have 50% reduction on folding bed in parents room or a 15% reduction on the adults price if in their own room.
  • Children aged 5-12 inclusive will have 30% reduction on folding bed in parents room or a 10% reduction on the adults price if in their in own room.
  • Infants under 2 will be charged at £30 which includes cot and highchair.
9. Cancellation more than 6 weeks prior to departure will result in the retention of your deposit by Ski Bluebird. 10. Cancellation less than 6 weeks prior to departure will result in retention of full payment by Ski Bluebird unless the chalet can be filled. If we are able to rent the chalet you will be refunded the equivalent of the replacement rental charge. 11. Exchange rate: The prices quoted on the Ski Bluebird website have been calculated at Euro 1.18 equals £1.00. We reserve the right to alter the cost of the holiday in case of significant fluctuations of the GBP Sterling and Euro exchange markets and pass on to the customer the full increase in cost which has occurred to us as a result of it. 12. Insurance: It is a condition of booking that all clients must have full holiday insurance including cancellation, medical, winter sports and third party cover. All personal belongings of the client and ski equipment hired by the client, are the sole responsibility of the client.  13. Damage by the client to the chalet and its grounds must be paid for at the time of the incident. 14. The terms of your booking and any claim relating to it, the provision of services to you by Ski Bluebird and/or its staff and any other matter arising out of this contract or your holiday will be governed by English Law, and shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Any liability of Ski Bluebird will be limited to the value of any payments already received by Ski Bluebird from the claimant at the date of claim. 15. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel your booking, due to matters within our control, you will be offered a full refund. 16. If we have to cancel your booking due to matters beyond our control, such as force majeure – including war, civil strife and inclement weather – we will not be able to offer a refund. 17. We do not accept liability for actions or omissions of any company, person or circumstances which we do not have direct control over. This includes but not limited to, transportation (airlines, ferries, trains, transfer companies etc) ski lift companies or other tour operators. 18. Delays, we will do our best to ensure that you get to resort as fast as possible. However we are not responsible and can not pay compensations for for delays resulting from circumstances outside of our control. Such as weather conditions, traffic conditions and strikes.  19. Nothing in this agreement is intended to exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury arising from negligence or for loss arising from negligent misrepresentation or fraud. 20. The accommodation will be held for between the dates agreed at the time of booking only. Your chalet will be available from 15.00 on the agreed arrival date until 10.00 on the agreed departure date. We may on request be able to permit earlier access or late departures, but are not able to guarantee this. 21. Once the ‘Hold’ option has been taken, you have two working days after which we will email you directly to proceed or terminate the booking process. 22. No pets are permitted. 23. Smoking is prohibited in all areas of our chalets. 24. We have tried to be entirely accurate will all information given, but cannot be held responsible for inaccuracies. If there are any changes we will notify you when you book.
